1. Information We Collect

When you use the Fairview Roleplay verification service, we collect and store:

• Discord account information: your Discord user ID, username, global display name, and avatar.
• Roblox account information: your Roblox user ID, username, display name, profile link, avatar, account creation date, and verified badge status, obtained via Roblox's official OAuth service.
• Network information: your IP address, the country associated with it, and whether the IP is associated with a VPN, proxy, Tor, or hosting provider.
• Device information: your browser, operating system, and device type, derived from your browser's user agent string.
• Verification metadata: the date and time you verified, and your most recent login to the Service.
• Security logs: records of verification attempts, including failed attempts, blocked attempts, duplicate-account attempts, and VPN/proxy detections, used to prevent abuse.
• Region role preference: if you enable the optional region role on your dashboard, we store whether it's on, which region it's set to, and when you last toggled it (to enforce a short cooldown between toggles).

2. Why We Collect It

We collect this information to:

• Verify that you own the Roblox account you are linking;
• Grant the verified role in the Fairview Roleplay Discord server;
• Prevent duplicate accounts, ban evasion, and fraudulent verification attempts;
• Detect and block VPN, proxy, and Tor usage during verification;
• Assist server staff with moderation and account-related support requests;
• Maintain security logs for troubleshooting and abuse investigation;
• Assign an optional Discord region role, if you choose to enable it on your dashboard, based on the country associated with the IP address you verified with.

3. How We Store Your Information

Data is stored in a secured MongoDB database accessible only to authorized server administrators. Session cookies used to keep you logged in are HTTP-only, marked Secure, and use the SameSite=Lax attribute. All communication with the Service occurs over HTTPS.

4. Data Retention

Verification records are retained for as long as your account remains linked, or as needed for moderation and security purposes. Security and audit logs may be retained longer to investigate abuse patterns. You may request deletion of your verification record at any time by unlinking your account on the verification page or by contacting server staff, subject to any records staff are required to retain for active moderation cases.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Verification and security events are logged internally in our Discord server for staff visibility. We may disclose information if required to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Fairview Roleplay, its members, or others.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service uses Roblox's OAuth API to verify account ownership, and an IP intelligence provider to detect VPNs, proxies, and hosting providers during verification. These providers process your IP address and Roblox account data under their own respective privacy practices.

7. Your Rights

You may:

• View your current verification status on the verification page;
• Unlink your Roblox account at any time, which removes your verification record and the verified role;
• Turn the region role on or off at any time from your dashboard, subject to a short cooldown between toggles;
• Request a copy of, or the deletion of, the data we hold about you by contacting the server owner.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age required by Discord's and Roblox's own Terms of Service. If we become aware that we have collected information from a user who does not meet these age requirements, we will take steps to remove that data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
